Calling all Singaporean Photographers
A friend of mine, June, is looking for photos that represent your favourite thing about Singapore – think history, culture, places, people to hang up on her walls. If your photo is chosen (and yes, there will be quite a few chosen) my friend will be putting them up in her bar which is called Stagger Inn. Its located within her backpapers hostel – Footprints. The address is: 25A Perak Road.
You’ll need to provide June with your black and white printed photograph, ready to go already framed up using a black frame of your choice. We’ll help out with the creation of the labels for the walls – so will need to know what price you’d like to sell your photograph at and maybe a description line. Think – tourist prices – after all, tourists do like to pick up things to bring home from their holidays.
At the launch event which is currently scheduled for mid April, June (and company) will pick their Top 3 choices and the winners will receive a bar tab valued at $150, $80, $50 respectively. If we’re lucky, there just might be a couple of other surprises on the night – wink wink.
Please send your photo entry to me by the 6th of April. Email me at zurina.bryant@zurinabryant.com so I can put it up on a private viewing page for June (and company) to see. And yes, if you’re entering you can have access to this page too.

Singapore 2009 Getai scene, the local flamboyant stage performance for the Chinese Hungry Ghost festival. The show consists mainly of songs by elaborately dressed crooners and some slapstick jokes in between. This performance I attended also includes aerobatic dances and lively slapstick performance that broke the audiences into hilarious laughter.

High enough for the web to begin with – once June has selected her pics then you’ll need to print and frame up to approx 5×7.
