SG 50 EZ-Link Card Design Art Competition
Something that caught my eye recently was the launch of the ‘My Journey, My Home’ card design art competition by EZ-Link Pte Ltd, Dyslexia Association of Singapore (DAS) and National Arts Council (NAC).
As we all know, this year marks Singapore’s 50th birthday, and in its commemoration, we’re being given the chance to show what this special year means to us, by having our designs featured on an SG50 ez-link cards series. Part of the sales proceeds will also go towards DAS, which makes this competition all the more meaningful. What better way to celebrate the nation’s birthday then raising support for children with dyslexia!
These funds will aid in providing additional learning support to students and assist them in literacy, mathematics, Chinese language, as well as speech and drama programmes.
Opened to Singaporeans and Permanent Residents, the competition comprises two main categories: an Open Category run by NAC for the public aged 12 or below and 13 to 25, and a DAS Category run by DAS for its existing and ex- students aged 12 or below and 13 to 25. Eligible participants can submit their entries from 2 February 2015 to 31 March 2015.
The judging panel looks set to include a representative each from EZ-Link, DAS, NAC, SG50 Programme Office and an acclaimed individual from the art-related field, so you best get those creative juices flowing!
The four grand winners will have their designs printed on 200,000 EZ-link cards and sold at all TransitLink Ticket Offices, starting from August 2015!
