Open Farm Community: A Review by Nathan Bryant

A review by Nathan Bryant, Age 8.

Taste: Average
Quality: Good
Service: Wonderful

The first thing I noticed about Open Farm Community is it was not in the city, it made me feel free.

The first thing I ate was the Steak. It was nice but then I noticed the herb butter and I was like ewwww. Once I tried it I was like oh that wasn’t so bad after all. I also ordered a Watermelon and Strawberry Juice. I started drinking and I was like that’s nice. So nice I ordered another one – the Berries Juice – there were a lot of berries but I liked it because the mixture of taste. For dessert we ordered a Hot and Cold Chocolate Cake. (See photos above)

Outside there was a garden to get herbs and the sand pit. The inside had a bar, kitchen, wine machine and it had cool lights. I also enjoyed the fact that you can see the food being cooked. The chefs were wonderful as were the hosts!

That’s why I think it is a good restaurant and I’ll be there more! The quality was good!

Open Farm Community’s Vision

“Our vision is to bring to life, the impact of urban farming in Singapore, and in doing so, strengthen our understanding and respect for food and its origins. Our children, in particular, have been too segregated from nature. OFC is an ideological and physical reaction to this.”“We want to provide a platform where families can come together and explore the many facets of food together through art, tours of the vegetable and fruit orchards, talks, gardening workshops, and of course, eating. Their layered experiences will also strengthen inter-generational relationships through quality time spent together.”
